Oh the joy of moving house. Not. We know from time to time you may change addresses and the hassle that goes along with it.

We don't want to add to your hassle so moving your service with ONEtelecom is easy as 1, 2, 3.

  3. When you wish for your old services to be cancelled

You only need to let us know of your move if you wish to keep your ONEphone or ONEbroadband service on in your new house. As both these services require a new connection we need to know so we can have them put on in your new house.

What are the costs in moving my services?

Glad you asked, as we do not want your move to cost you any more than it should.

Home phone connection by a technician

A previous telephone service has existed at your new address and a Telstra technician is required to reconnect existing cabling at the distributor and / or the first socket.

Complex home phone connection

(a) New telephone line connection - a telephone service has not previously been connected at your new address (although we may have previously installed cabling and you may be able to hear a dial tone);

Or

(b) Telephone line connection with a technician visit and cabling work - a previous telephone service has existed at your new address and a technician is required to install and / or work on the cabling up to the first socket.

Reconnection will take place 3 working days after connection of your home phone service. Please note: a change of address is equivalent to a cancellation and set up of contract and your contract start date will begin again at the new address.

If service is relocating within 6 months of original activation date

*Relocation is dependent on ADSL availability and in some instances ADSL may not be supported at your new address due to network factors and infrastructure. Please check our coverage however service cannot be guaranteed due to service limitation. If we are not able to provide you with the service at your new address then you will be liable for the full cancellation fees of the existing contract.

Can I keep my phone number?

This depends on where you are moving to. We will be able to check this for you when you submit your relocation to us. Numbers are allocated based on your location. So if you're not moving out of your exchange's serviceable area, you may be able to keep your existing phone number.

If I am keeping my phone number, do I still need to submit a relocation?

Yes. Broadband is based on the line, not the phone number you use. So even though you're keeping the same number, you still need to notify us so that we can prepare your new line for your broadband service. Same number relocations also take the same amount of time as new number relocations.
